Who doesn’t have any childhood memories including the delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Perhaps the peanut butter and banana sandwich? Well, I do. I love everything peanut butter and I cannot put into words how ecstatic I am to know that there’s one casual resto that turns our childhood favorite peanut butter into delicious pasta, sandwich concoctions and so much more!
One of my girl friends, Angela, visited us in the office last June 30, Wednesday. The rest of our friends are out for the day due to holiday so that means me, Michelle and Angela have the day to ourselves. Immediately after work we head to Greenhills for our all girls date.
I got a taste of Amici (which was formerly called Amici di Don Bosco) that serve up authentic Italian dishes, first known for its home-made Italian gelato, pastas and wood fire oven-cooked pizzas. No wonder why many people equate Amici with both authentic Italian cuisine and quality service.
They started their first branch in Don Bosco, Makati, which was part of my must-try list but I ended up having my first taste here in their 4th branch in Greenhills with the girls.

Morning time. I had the most peaceful, sweetest sleep in days. Now it’s time to indulge in the buffet breakfast included in our package. Sweet!

Brian was invited to be the photographer for his friend’s mom’s 60th birthday in Pampanga for June 27th. Since it’s on the weekend, it’s more likely that I will be with him. We planned to go there a day earlier and have our post-monthly celebration. A hotel accommodation is a must since the main event falls on a Sunday. I barely knew any hotel in the area aside from the old villas for rent and old hotels.
Lucky enough while I was googling, I found a new hotel and vacation club right smack in the middle of Clark Freeport Zone.

Brian and I can probably join the next Amazing Race challenge since we’ve been practicing rushing and turbo-ing (our own lil term) each and every time we will go out. We love it like that. Kidding! We are just two slow-moving creatures and always rushing to make our way to whatever event on time (or at least we try to but mostly we are late). Just like today. We planned to hop on the bus for their 11am schedule but we needed to grab some stuff in the groceries first.
One of the bus lines that goes to Pampanga daily is Partas Bus Lines. After picking up some stuff, we went to their Aurora, Cubao terminal and got the 11:30am schedule. Phew! That was a lot of rushing this early morning. I told you we can totally join the Amazing Race! Continue reading

Two of my Dele friends, Michelle and Lawrence, celebrated their birthdays this month of June. We also have been planning to meet up with the rest of the group after most of them left our office few months ago, but it never materialized.
As I suspected, birthdays are always a good excuse to meet up. Before I knew it, it’s already time to celebrate and hang out with my fun fun friends.
Here’s celebrating life, good food and friendship in photos.
June 20, 2010 Sunday
In lieu of our little monthsary celebration, we planned to go on a picnic at La Mesa Ecopark. With recipes prepared in my head such as Monte Cristo sandwich, chocolate covered strawberries, fresh fruits esp grapes and probably my favorite Nestea iced tea or lemonade.
Plans changed though and we agreed to re-schedule this little picnic of ours. We are also beat because we spent last night hanging out with our couple friends with my latest favorite alcomix drink, Tanduay Ice, in hand. It has the right alcohol, right sweetness and good mouth feel. It’s like I’m drinking Sprite with just a few drops of alcohol. I prefer this more than the usual crowd favorite beer that has its bitter taste.
Fast forward to Sunday morning, we got up few times to rehydrate ourselves with water and stuff our tummy with some food. But the rest of the day were spent sleeping on the couch. None of our plans were accomplished. Still, spending time catching up on Zzz can’t be a bad thing, right?
It’s about 3 or 4 in the afternoon when our body decided to finally wake up. So off to MOA we go!

We had a surprise baby shower for Brian’s soon-to-be niece at Celsius Gastrolounge.
Here are photos of the fun celebration we had.
