Who doesn’t have any childhood memories including the delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Perhaps the peanut butter and banana sandwich? Well, I do. I love everything peanut butter and I cannot put into words how ecstatic I am to know that there’s one casual resto that turns our childhood favorite peanut butter into delicious pasta, sandwich concoctions and so much more!

Look how many peanut butter variants they have! You can take home this delicious goodness and whip up your own recipe. The price of Gourmet Peanut Butter in a jar ranges between Php180-210 for 590grams.

They even have 7-UP Cherry and Coca-Cola Cherry drinks! This is not normally being sold in other restaurants or food chains here in Manila.

I cannot believe how delicious this was! This is my latest favorite BBQ wings among the rest I’ve tasted. The peanut butter did not oddly stand out but it blended smoothly with the BBQ sauce. Really delicious, I’m telling you!

{ Classic Spaghetti. Sun dried tomato peanut butter, meat sauce. Php135 }

Imagine peanut butter and meat sauce, together? I can’t, until I’ve tasted this. Again, the PB complimented the taste of the meat sauce. Hmm hmm.

{ PB Burger Sandwich. Sesame peanut butter, lettuce, tomato, peanut cucumber mayo, juicy burger patty. Php185 }

For me, this is the next best thing after my favorite McDonald’s Quarter Pounder. Soft buns, really juicy and tasty meat and the peanut butter mixed well with everything. The size is huge, too, that justified its price. I strongly recommend this any time of the day.

This was a long overdue treat for my B. We both LOVED it!

I got a taste of Amici (which was formerly called Amici di Don Bosco) that serve up authentic Italian dishes, first known for its home-made Italian gelato, pastas and wood fire oven-cooked pizzas. No wonder why many people equate Amici with both authentic Italian cuisine and quality service.

They started their first branch in Don Bosco, Makati, which was part of my must-try list but I ended up having my first taste here in their 4th branch in Greenhills with the girls.

This is my girl friend, Anj, who took us on a date in Greenhills.  These are all her treat. Hooray for pretty, sweet & generous friends!

As if it wasn’t enough to fill our little tummy, we hunt down Crazy Crepes (to satisfy Anj’s cravings) for dessert. I don’t remember how far or how long we walked only to find out that it is already closed at 9pm.

For me, it was a blessing in disguise because we settled for Bizu Patisserie.

Look at the dozen choices of sweet treats and french pastries to satisfy your sweet tooth!

I’m confused which one to order. I literally want a taste of each and everything I’m seeing. Looks delicious!

Morning time. I had the most peaceful, sweetest sleep in days. Now it’s time to indulge in the buffet breakfast included in our package. Sweet!

Just outside SALT Coffee Shop is its counterpart, MALT Bar. Basically, they just have a mini bar plus tables and chairs outside ( al fresco style ) near the hotel’s swimming pool.

Swimming time. After filling our tummies with all those yummy breakfast, it’s now time to get some sun. We head straight to the pool for some morning dip.

Warning: this contains LOTS of mushy and goofy photos. *wink*

Clearly, B and I had so much fun goofing around in the pool. The place is beautiful and very relaxing. It’s calming to take a morning dip, ogling through the lush greens surrounding us and breathing the fresh air. It’s like a pocket paradise for tourists.

I don’t want to leave this place. Can I stay a little longer?

But, we still have a full day ahead. I need to say goodbye for now to our little room.

Casino time. Hotel Vida also has a Casino and as part of our room accommodation package, they also included a complimentary entrance plus Php200 bet voucher.

Talk about beginner’s luck, we lost Php300 on baccarat and Php100 on slot machine. Good thing B’s got discipline or else we could have spent more than that. So, I’d still say we are lucky! *wink*

Few more hours left before the main event that Brian will cover, we relish our few moments left in the hotel.

We still got the Php300 F&B gift voucher (also part of the Drizzling Promo package) and since we are still so full from the breakfast buffet, we just ordered one lunch meal to share.

Their food is good. I’m surprised we were still able to eat after our breakfast. Burp!

Hotel Vida’s room rates are a bit pricey but due to their Drizzling Promo Package the rates went down to Php3,900 for overnight accommodation in one of their Deluxe rooms including all those freebies/inclusions you’ve seen. This promo will run until August 2010, so hurry!

Lucky enough while I was googling, I found a new hotel and vacation club right smack in the middle of Clark Freeport Zone.

Brian and I can probably join the next Amazing Race challenge since we’ve been practicing rushing and turbo-ing (our own lil term) each and every time we will go out. We love it like that. Kidding! We are just two slow-moving creatures and always rushing to make our way to whatever event on time (or at least we try to but mostly we are late). Just like today. We planned to hop on the bus for their 11am schedule but we needed to grab some stuff in the groceries first.

One of the bus lines that goes to Pampanga daily is Partas Bus Lines. After picking up some stuff, we went to their Aurora, Cubao terminal and got the 11:30am schedule. Phew! That was a lot of rushing this early morning. I told you we can totally join the Amazing Race!

After eating our chocolate-y breakfast on the bus, we took a nap and surprisingly it took us EXACTLY 1.5 hours to get to DMIA (Diosdado Macapagal International Airport).

Aside from the over-priced airport cabs there are air-conditioned jeep that took us to the hotel for Php250 for the 5-minute ride. (This is the downside if you don’t bring your own car.)

It was just the two of us in this huge jeep!

After few minutes of waiting at the lobby area, we were given our key card for the Deluxe room! And before we rummage our hotel room, a photo op of the clean, pretty little nest is a must.

Truly, Hotel Vida guests rooms are equipped with state-of the-art amenities.

Then our little old-new tradition began.

This was hilarious and so much fun! I really enjoyed tiring ourselves jumping on this hotel bed. *grins*

And look, we have a balcony! Really cool.

Guest rooms offer a view of the adjacent golf course or swimming pool and well-manicured landscape.

It was past 3pm when we noticed our tummy growling from hunger. Time to feed ‘em!

Good thing the hotel offers a shuttle service to SM Clark and back. And again, the shuttle only drove the two of us to the mall. So much tourist-y feeling. Much needed and much appreciated.*smiles*

We were so hungry and we spotted Classic Savory which we’ve been planning to try in Manila.

And what else will we order? Of course, their chicken!

For a good few minutes all we can think about while eating is how much we missed eating. I loved their chicken, it somehow tastes like Max’s but something else. The fish fillet is OK too but a bit dry. And although they pride themselves with their Pancit Canton, I didn’t like it that much. For their Special Turon, where’s the special in that again? It lacks sweetness or perhaps it’s because I naturally have a sweet tooth.

Nonetheless, their chicken is a must try.

I was relieved when we got back to the hotel. It was a pretty busy week and a tiring morning and I plea for some much needed R&R.

Strawberries covered in chocolate dip has been in my mind for a few days now. Today’s the day to succumbed to my cravings.

Thanks to my B for his patience in melting the semi-sweet chocolate chips to become this chocolate dip. Perfect with the strawberries!

Despite the lack of a decent internet connection, I managed to doodle around and created this look.

I would have worn this if my boyfriend asked me out to catch up and spend time roaming around the mall. Well, OK yeah, probably not for hours in these heels but whatever, I would love to wear this.

I know Polyvore have been around for quite some time and being the late bloomer that I am, I just recently re-discovered this cool site and used this as a therapy for myself today. Creating a look / style plus designing the layout can be therapeutic, who knew?

Definitely a cool way to get on with my fashion freaky-ness plus learning how to do a magazine-like spread. Though I know with this first look it’s lacking the ‘layout’ that I am talking about. Well, soon I will learn how to create a better one.
